Virat Kohli batting practice ahead of Vijay Hazare Trophy and IND vs NZ series

After playing ODI series in Australia and South Africa, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are currently on a break, as they will only be seen playing for Team India again in January 2026. They will return with the three-match ODI series between India and New Zealand, starting January 11th.

However, that series is still a few days away, and during this time, Rohit and Virat will be seen playing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, for which both have begun preparing themselves again. The Vijay Hazare Trophy, a domestic one-day tournament, begins on Wednesday, December 24th. Kohli has been selected for Delhi and Rohit for Mumbai.

The seriousness of both star batsmen’s commitment to this tournament is evident, as they have already begun their preparations before joining their teams. Virat Kohli was seen honing his batting skills at a ground in Alibag, near Mumbai. He spent considerable time batting in the nets.

Videos and photos of his batting went viral on social media. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma focused on maintaining his fitness before batting practice and was seen participating in various drills at a ground in Mumbai. He also posted a photo of this on his Instagram account.
