As per the tradition, the Best Fielder Medal was awarded after India’s thrilling Champions Trophy 2025 final against New Zealand.
Fielding coach T. Dilip first praised Rohit Sharma’s impressive fielding, mentioning him as a strong contender for the medal. However, he ultimately chose Ravindra Jadeja, highlighting his exceptional performance in the final match. Jadeja’s lightning-fast movements and bullet-speed throws were a key factor in India’s defensive strategy.After receiving the medal, an emotional Jadeja hugged the coach tightly, acknowledging the recognition.
