New Delhi: The Indian cricket team has booked its place in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final after defeating Australia by four wickets in the semifinal. Team India delivered an exceptional performance with both bat and ball. In response, India’s batting lineup displayed resilience, with Virat Kohli playing a crucial knock of 84 runs. Supporting him, Shreyas Iyer contributed 45 runs, while wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul remained unbeaten on 42.

Apart from these key contributions, all-rounder Hardik Pandya played a blistering cameo, scoring 28 runs, including three sixes. In the final moments of the chase, Pandya launched two consecutive sixes off Adam Zampa, which electrified the Indian dressing room. India Reaches Third Consecutive Champions Trophy Final

With this victory, India has reached the Champions Trophy final for the third consecutive time. The team previously won the tournament in 2013, defeating England in the final. However, in the 2017 edition, India fell short against Pakistan in the final.

The second semifinal of the tournament will be played in Lahore on March 5 between South Africa and New Zealand. The winner of that match will face India in the grand finale on March 9. The final will be held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, where India will aim to claim another ICC trophy under Rohit Sharma’s leadership.
