Suryakumar Yadav Vents Frustration at Batsmen
After the Mumbai Indians suffered a crushing defeat against the Delhi Capitals, Captain Suryakumar Yadav made a significant statement. He remarked that his team had scored 15-20 runs fewer than required. While praising Sameer Rizvi, Suryakumar noted that Rizvi gave MI absolutely no opportunity to make a comeback in the match.
Elaborating further, Suryakumar said, “When you are batting first, you are constantly thinking about the score. You bat, you assess the numbers, and we felt that a score of 180-185 would be a good total here; however, we ended up scoring 15-20 runs short. I feel that Naman’s wicket and mine fell at the wrong time; otherwise, we could have reached a much more formidable total.

What Record Did Sameer Rizvi Set?
Batting for Delhi Capitals, Sameer Rizvi also set a unique record. During his innings of 90 runs off 51 balls, he smashed 7 fours and 7 towering sixes. He has now become the cricketer to play the third-highest individual innings by an ‘Impact Player’ in the history of the IPL. The only players ahead of him on this list are Jos Buttler and Sai Sudharsan, both of whom have scored centuries while coming in as Impact Players.
