The Indian team defeated Pakistan by 90 runs in the U19 Asia Cup 2025 on Sunday. Batting first in the fifth match of the Under-19 Asia Cup, India scored 240 runs losing all wickets in 46.1 overs. In reply, Pakistan’s team could score only 150 runs losing all wickets in 41.2 overs at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai. Huzaifa Ahsan scored the highest 70 runs for Pakistan.

Deepesh and Kanishk took 3 wickets each for India. Chasing a target of 241, Pakistan got off to a slow start. They remained wicketless for eight overs and scored 21 runs. However, in the ninth and eleventh overs, Dipesh dealt Pakistan a double blow. He dismissed Sameer (9) and Ali Hasan (0). Ahmed then managed just four runs. Opener Usman Khan made only 16 off 42 balls. Captain Farhan Yousuf made 23 off 34 balls before being dismissed. Hamza made only four runs, while Abdul scored six.

India went to bat first

Batting first, the Indian team scored 240 runs in 46.1 overs. The Indian batsmen got off to a good start but lost wickets at regular intervals, preventing the team from posting a big total. Aaron George performed brilliantly for India, scoring his second consecutive half-century, but fell short of a century. For Pakistan, Mohammad Sayyam and Abdul Subhan took three wickets each. Nikab Shafiq took two wickets.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi was dismissed cheaply, while captain Ayush Mhatre provided a quick start but failed to score a big innings. Mhatre scored 38 runs. Aaron George, batting at number three, played a brilliant innings of 85 runs, but fell short of a century.

Suryavanshi was not in a brilliant form with the bat, but contributed with his blowing effort. But, the batting of Aaron George was a mesmerizing account for all cricket lovers.
