Goal of the Game

The goal of cricket is to score points which are called runs. When after hitting the ball you go from one end of the pitch to the other and you don’t let them go and defend it, that is the fielding team and the one who is on the ball is the batting team.

Playing the Game

A. Batting

Hold the ball with both hands, fingers wrapped around the handle. The bottom hand should be close to the blade and the top hand should be slightly above.

Stand with the help of your feet, and bend your knees a little. Balance your weight and focus on the bowler. Deliver the shot according to the bowler’s bowling.

B. Bowling

Hold the ball with index and middle fingers across the seam and then the seam at the bottom. Approach the pitch with a smooth and consistent run-up.

Release the ball with a straight arm, aiming for accuracy and speed. The ball can be delivered anyway – fastball, spin ball, depending on the style.
