There is a lot of turmoil within the Indian team right now. After the defeat in Australia, various reports have emerged from the dressing room. Meanwhile, the BCCI has made a significant decision. India’s next series is against England, starting on January 22. Before the series, the BCCI planned to organize a special camp.
The five-match T20 series between India and England will begin in Kolkata, and Team India’s camp will be held there. The camp will last for three days, as reported by India Today. The team will gather on January 18 and focus on preparing a strategy to defeat England at Eden Gardens Stadium.
Team India Shows Strong T20 Performance Despite Test Setbacks
Team India may not have performed well in Tests, but their T20 performance has been outstanding. Under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav, the team has won the T20 series against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and South Africa. In the upcoming camp, the players will come together to devise a strategy to defeat England. Coach Gautam Gambhir will guide the team throughout this process.
New Batting Coach Can Join the Team
Meanwhile, a new addition to the coaching staff is Sitashu Kotak, who can join as the batting coach. Abhishek Nair, who is already with the team as an assistant coach, has been handling batting responsibilities, but Kotak will now work alongside him. Kotak has a long history with the NCA (National Cricket Academy).
