Siginificant comments from Gautam Gambhir

Several reports have claimed that there is a lack of communication between Gambhir, Kohli, and Rohit, due to which the atmosphere in the team’s dressing room is not good. However, after the victory in the third ODI, Gautam Gambhir has said something about Kohli and Rohit that makes it seem as if both players have given a befitting reply to their critics with their play and now the atmosphere in the team is fine.

Gambhir said about Kohli and Rohit, ” Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are world-class players and their experience is essential in the dressing room. They have been doing this for a long time. Hopefully, they will continue to do so, which will be essential for the team in ODIs.”

Apart from this, Gambhir also talked about the 2027 ODI World Cup and in the press conference he said, “Look, first of all we have to understand that there are still two years left for the ODI World Cup. The most important thing is to live in the present.”

He further said, “It’s also important that the young players coming into the team take advantage of their opportunities, someone like Ruturaj Gaikwad, who batted out of his position. He’s a quality player, we all know that. We wanted to give him a chance in this series because of the form he was in with India A. He really grabbed that opportunity with both hands, scoring a century in the second game when we were under pressure, we were 40 for 2, and then scoring a century like that is a sign of good quality.”
