New Delhi: After an eight-year gap, the ICC Champions Trophy has made a grand return in 2025. This tournament is also historic as it marks the first ICC event in 29 years hosted by Pakistan. However, Pakistan became the first team to exit the competition early. The much-anticipated Champions Trophy 2025 final is scheduled to take place on March 9 at Dubai Cricket Ground.
Cricket fans are eager to know about the prize money allocated for this prestigious tournament. The ICC has set a lucrative prize pool, ensuring handsome rewards for the participating teams.
Champions Trophy 2025 Prize Money Breakdown
The winner of the Champions Trophy 2025 will receive a massive $2.24 million (approx. ₹19.5 crore), along with the glittering Champions Trophy. The runner-up will not go empty-handed either, as they will be awarded ₹9.75 crore Teams that reach the semi-finals but fail to advance to the final will each receive ₹4.85 crore as a reward for their efforts.Additionally, teams finishing in the fifth and sixth positions will be given ₹3 crore each, while the teams in the seventh and eighth spots will still take home ₹1.2 crore each.

Winner: ₹19.5 crore
Runner-up: ₹9.75 crore
Semi-finalists (losing teams): ₹4.85 crore each
Fifth/Sixth place: ₹3 crore each

Bonus Prize for Every Match Win
Not only do the teams stand to gain from their final rankings, but every match win in the tournament also comes with a hefty reward. The ICC has announced that each team will earn ₹29.5 lakh for every victory they secure during the tournament.
Moreover, each of the eight participating teams will receive ₹1.08 crore just for qualifying and competing in the tournament.
With a total prize pool of approximately ₹60 crore, this year’s Champions Trophy is 53% richer compared to the 2017 edition, making it one of the most rewarding ICC events in recent history.
The ICC has also confirmed that the Champions Trophy will continue to be held every four years, similar to the ICC World Cup, ensuring that cricket fans can look forward to this prestigious tournament regularly.
