Cocktail 2 OTT Release – The trio of Bollywood’s ‘Rockstar’ Shahid Kapoor, South’s ‘Lady Superstar’ Rashmika Mandanna and beautiful Kriti Sanon served such a ‘cocktail’ in the theatres this year that the audience danced. This film, released on June 19, not only made a lot of money at the box office, but its songs, dialogues and acting were also discussed a lot on social media. Now the news is that this fun-filled film will soon rule the hearts of the viewers sitting at their homes. Yes, ‘Cocktail 2’ is going to premiere on Netflix on August 14, 2026.

Amazing in the theatre, now there will be a blast on OTT

Looking at the earnings the film made at the box office, it is being counted among the sixth biggest hits of this year. Now, when it comes on OTT, it is expected that its views will break records, because the enthusiasm of the fans is already sky high. Homi Adajania, who helmed the film, once again brought us into the same emotional world of ‘love-friendship’ that we first saw in 2012.

Not magic like ‘Cocktail’, but a different identity of its own

To put it bluntly, the charisma that 2012’s ‘Cocktail’ (in which Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan and Diana Penty created a stir) did probably could not happen this time. The story, music and acting of the first film were so amazing that even today people miss it. This time, an attempt was made to give a new twist in ‘Cocktail 2’, but it was not magical. Nevertheless, with its new cast and slightly changed story, the film has carved a niche for itself.

What is the story of ‘Cocktail 2’? (Spoiler-free)

Let’s take a look at the story. This is the love story of Kunal (Shahid) and Diya (Kriti). To escape the family pressure of marriage, both of them go out on a trip, but the story takes a turn when Diya asks her best friend Ellie (Rashmika) to test Kunal’s loyalty. In this test of friendship and love, Ellie’s heart also starts beating for Kunal. Now you will have to watch the film to know what happens to whom, but we can say that its ending is quite dramatic. If you missed it in theatres, then enjoy this love-triangle now on Netflix.

Now let’s talk about the upcoming projects of these stars.

Rashmika Mandanna’s magic is something else. These days she is busy with her husband Vijay Deverakonda in big films like ‘Ranabali’, ‘Myssa’ and ‘Pushpa 3’. This means that he will be popular in South as well as Hindi films. Kriti Sanon is working on some unknown and big films about which no official announcement has been made yet.

And our Shahid Kapoor? This year, after ‘O Romeo’ and ‘Cocktail 2’, he will now be seen in the web series ‘Farzi 2’. Also, he has a comedy drama film with Janhvi Kapoor in his pipeline. So friends, if you want to see love, friendship and a little bit of drama, then make a note of 14th August in your diary because ‘Cocktail 2’ is coming to blast your TV screens!
