Today, Samsung officially unveiled the smartphone’s release date. The company has announced that the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE will launch on August 27. A ‘Galaxy Event’ is scheduled for that day, during which the new Galaxy S series smartphone will debut in the Indian market.

The Galaxy Event will take place on August 27 at 12:00 PM UTC. It will be live-streamed on Samsung’s official website and YouTube channel. Although the company did not explicitly name the Galaxy S26 FE in the announcement, recent leaks and certification listings strongly suggest the arrival of this ‘Fan Edition’ model.
Leaked images and specifications suggest the Galaxy S26 FE may feature a redesigned rear camera module. The phone is expected to be 7.4mm thick and weigh about 193 grams. It is also rumoured to be available in Blueberry, Graphite, and Pistachio colour options, with a flat aluminium frame and a flat rear panel.

The Galaxy S26 FE is rumoured to feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It may also come with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. The phone is expected to run on Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset and offer up to 8GB of RAM, with either 128GB or 256GB of storage.
Regarding the camera, the smartphone is expected to feature a triple-camera setup. The phone is expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with OIS and 3x optical zoom. It may also include a 12-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.
The Galaxy S26 FE is likely to pack a 4,900mAh battery supporting 45W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and wireless power sharing. It is expected to launch with Android 17 and One UI 9, featuring Samsung’s latest AI capabilities and seven years of OS updates. Its US price has been leaked at $799 (approximately ₹76,000), whereas the Galaxy S25 FE had a starting price of $649.
Notably, the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is the fourth model in the ‘Galaxy S26 series’. According to leaks, the smartphone could be priced at around ₹65,000 in India. This would be the starting price for the model offering 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
