In the fiercely competitive budget smartphone segment, the Samsung Galaxy M15 5G emerges as a standout contender, blending premium features like a Super AMOLED display and a massive 6,000 mAh battery with Samsung’s promise of long-term software support—all at an accessible price point. But does it deliver where it matters most? Here’s an in-depth look.
Design and Build: Sleek, Practical, and Surprisingly Premium
The Galaxy M15 5G features a glossy, light-reflecting back panel with a linear camera layout and "floating edges" designed for a secure grip. Despite its plastic construction, it exudes a premium feel and is available in Light Blue, Dark Blue, and Gray210. Practical touches include a 3.5mm headphone jack and a hybrid SIM/microSD slot supporting up to 1TB of storage16. At 9.3mm thick and 217g, it’s substantial but comfortable6.
Display: Vibrant Visuals Even Under Sunlight
The phone’s 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display is its crown jewel. With a 90Hz refresh rate, 800 nits peak brightness (in High Brightness Mode), and Vision Booster technology, it delivers smooth scrolling and crisp visibility even in direct sunlight126. The display is also certified by SGS for eye care, reducing harmful blue light emissions12.
Performance and 5G: Reliable Daily Driver
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ octa-core processor (6nm architecture), the M15 5G handles everyday tasks like social media, streaming, and light gaming smoothly610. It supports 13+ 5G bands (including n77 and n78 for future-proofing), ensuring fast connectivity where available16. With configurations up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, multitasking is seamless610.
Camera: Versatile but Basic
The triple-camera setup includes:
50MP main sensor (f/1.8) for detailed daytime shots.
5MP ultra-wide lens for broader scenes.
2MP macro lens for close-ups.
The 13MP front camera handles selfies and video calls adequately. While the system captures decent photos in well-lit conditions, low-light performance is mediocre, and video recording maxes at 1080p@30fps
Battery Life: All-Day Power and Beyond
The 6,000 mAh battery (typical capacity; rated minimum 5,880 mAh) is a marathoner, easily lasting 1.5–2 days on moderate use. It supports 25W wired charging, but the charger is sold separately2610. Samsung claims up to 128 hours of audio playback and 25 hours of video playback610.
