Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 Leaked – Launching September 4 with 21-Inch Wheel

Royal Enfield Himalayan 440: Royal Enfield is gearing up to launch a new adventure motorcycle. The company is set to launch the Himalayan 440 in India on September 4, and details have emerged just ahead of the launch. While the bike was not fully revealed—with significant portions still covered—it is evident that Royal Enfield intends to carve out a distinct niche for the Himalayan 440 within its adventure motorcycle lineup. Features such as the new instrument cluster and the 21-inch front wheel set it apart, not just in appearance but also in terms of usability.

New Instrument Cluster

A standout feature is its instrument cluster. The Himalayan 440’s console boasts a simple, clean layout. The bike features an analogue speedometer as the main dial, accompanied by a small LCD display. Positioned right next to it is the Tripper navigation module.

443cc Engine

Regarding the powertrain, the Himalayan 440 is expected to house the same 443cc, air/oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This engine generates 25.4 bhp of power and 34 Nm of torque and will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox. A key highlight of this engine is its torque delivery; the low-end grunt could prove highly beneficial for adventure riding.

21-Inch Front Wheel

While the Scram 440 comes with a 19-inch front wheel, the Himalayan 440 is expected to feature a 21-inch front wheel. In adventure motorcycles, a 21-inch front wheel offers superior control on rough and uneven terrain, suggesting the Himalayan 440 may be designed with a greater focus on off-road capability than the Scram 440.

Design

In terms of design, the Himalayan 440 is expected to retain an overall look largely similar to the Himalayan 411. Rather than introducing a completely new design, Royal Enfield may choose to carry forward the established adventure aesthetic of the original Himalayan. To give the new motorcycle a distinct identity, the company might introduce new paint schemes and decals. While the bike’s basic shape will remain unchanged, the new colours and graphics could lend it a fresher look.

Price

As for the price, Royal Enfield has not yet made an official announcement. However, the Himalayan 440 is expected to be priced at approximately ₹2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It is expected to be priced above the Scram 440 and below the Himalayan 450.
