Redmi smartphones are highly popular, and you can find phones across all budget ranges from the brand. The Redmi Note 17 series is set to launch in the Chinese market next week. Ahead of the official launch, details about the Redmi Note 17 Pro’s battery, charging, and display have surfaced.
It is reported that the phone is expected to feature significant upgrades in battery and charging capabilities compared to the Redmi Note 15 Pro. Additionally, the Redmi Note 17 Pro has been spotted on the National Communications Commission (NCC) website. Apart from a large battery, the phone may launch with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.

The company has shared details about the Redmi Note 17 Pro through several teasers posted on Weibo. It will house a 9,000mAh battery supporting 67W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. For comparison, the Redmi Note 15 Pro comes with a 6,580mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging.

Another poster confirms that the Redmi Note 17 Pro will feature a flat display with 1.5K resolution and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits in sunlight. The phone will also come with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The Note 17 Pro boasts IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, alongside TÜV SÜD certification for withstanding submersion in 2 meters of water for up to 72 hours. Previous teasers have also revealed details regarding dual stereo speakers and a power-efficient Snapdragon 6-series chipset.

According to reports, the Redmi Note 17 series phones may launch with RAM and storage configurations of 8GB+256GB, 8GB+512GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB. Listings indicate the device will feature a battery with the codename BM95 and an MDY-19-EX charger, hinting at a 9,210mAh capacity and support for up to 100W fast charging.
The lineup reportedly includes the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, which are expected to offer connectivity options such as 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and USB Type-C. Indications also point to an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
