Nanded-Tanakpur Express: Indian Railways has taken a significant decision to enhance convenience for train travellers. A new weekly express train connecting Nanded (Maharashtra) and Tanakpur (Uttarakhand) was flagged off on July 6. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw flagged off three new trains on that day.

The Nanded-LTT Express, the Nanded-Tanakpur Express, and the Puri-Koraput Express (running between Puri and Koraput in Odisha). This new service promises a superior and more comfortable travel experience for long-distance passengers. Nanded-LTT Express
The Nanded-LTT-Nanded Express, operating between Nanded and Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), will greatly benefit passengers from Nanded, Hingoli, Washim, Akola, Buldhana, Jalgaon, Nashik, Thane, and the Mumbai suburbs in Maharashtra. During its journey, the train will halt at Purna, Basmat, Hingoli Deccan, Washim, Akola, Malkapur, Bhusawal, Chalisgaon, Manmad, Nashik Road, Igatpuri, and Kalyan railway stations.

Nanded-Tanakpur Express
The Nanded-Tanakpur-Nanded Express, running between Nanded and Tanakpur, will benefit people across Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra. During its journey, the train will stop at Pilibhit, Izzatnagar, Bareilly, Budaun, Kasganj, Mathura, Agra, Dholpur, Gwalior, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Lalitpur, Bina, Rani Kamalapati Bhopal, Itarsi, Khandwa, Malkapur, Akola, Washim, Hingoli, Basmat, and Purna railway stations in both directions.

Puri-Koraput Express
The Puri-Koraput-Puri Express will strengthen rail connectivity within the state by linking Odisha’s coastal region with southern Odisha. During its journey, this new train will halt at several key stations—including Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Angul, Sambalpur, Bolangir, Damanjodi, and Laxmipur Road—in both directions.

Train Amenities
The inaugural special train will consist of 19 coaches.
It will include Second Class, Sleeper, AC-3, AC-2, luggage, and generator coaches.
For regular service, the train will operate with 21 coaches.
The composition will include two AC-2, four AC-3, eight Sleeper, four General Class, one pantry car, one LSLRD, and one generator-cum-luggage coach.
