Poco M8 Power and Poco X8 India Launch Timeline Tipped: Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Poco, has made a significant impact on the market, with its smartphones enjoying great popularity. You can find Poco smartphones across various price points in the Indian market. The Poco M8 Power and Poco X8 could launch soon.
However, a tipster claims that another Xiaomi sub-brand plans to launch rebranded versions of these two smartphones. These handsets—the Poco M8 Power and Poco X8—may arrive in India soon, likely featuring specifications similar to those of the models launched in China. These smartphones could be equipped with different Snapdragon chipsets.
Poco M8 Power and Poco X8 Might Launch in India Soon
In a post on the social media platform X, tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) claims that the Xiaomi sub-brand will launch the Poco M8 Power and Poco X8 in India this quarter. This suggests that the launch of both smartphones could take place within a few weeks or months.
It is also claimed that the Poco M8 Power and Poco X8 might launch in India as rebranded versions of the Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro, which were recently released in China. Regarding pricing, the tipster notes that the “price estimate isn’t good,” suggesting that the cost of these Poco handsets in India could be significantly higher than that of their Redmi counterparts.
Tipster Kacper Skrzypek has shared some details about the Indian version of the Poco X8. He claims the smartphone will feature a 50-megapixel primary rear camera accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Reports suggest that in other global markets, the corresponding Redmi smartphone might launch with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera instead of the 2-megapixel depth sensor. The latest leak aligns with a recent report stating that the Poco M8 Power will launch in India with the same specifications and features found in the Redmi Note 17 in China. The Redmi phone was launched in China on July 14; it features an octa-core Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset and an 8,000mAh battery.
Expected Key Specifications
If the POCO M8 Power utilises the same hardware as the Redmi Note 17, it will feature a large 7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2396 x 1080. It is likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset and house an 8,000mAh battery. Other expected specifications include up to 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a 50MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, 45W wired fast charging, and 22.5W reverse wired charging. Typically, display sizes in this category hover around 6.8 inches.
