The sub-₹15,000 segment is where the most intense smartphone battles are fought in India. Two of the most compelling options right now are the POCO M6 Pro 5G and the Samsung Galaxy M15 5G. Both promise 5G connectivity, massive batteries, and smooth displays. But which one offers the complete package? This in-depth comparison breaks down every key aspect to help you make the right choice.
Design and Display: Smoothness vs. Super AMOLED Brilliance
This is a classic case of high refresh rate versus panel technology.
The POCO M6 Pro 5G features a 6.79-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a very smooth 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. This makes every interaction, from scrolling through menus to gaming, feel incredibly fluid. The build is practical with a plastic back and frame.
Performance and Software: Raw Power vs. Refined Reliability
The POCO M6 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G processor. This chip is designed for efficiency and reliable 5G performance. It handles everyday tasks and casual gaming well, but it's not a powerhouse for intensive graphics.
The Samsung Galaxy M15 5G uses the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ 5G processor. In raw performance, there's very little practical difference between the Dimensity 6300 and 6100+ for daily use. Both will deliver a similar experience with calls, social media, and streaming.
Battery and Charging: A Close Marathon Race
Both phones are absolute champions in the battery department.
They both pack a massive 6000mAh battery. You can easily expect two full days of use from either device with moderate usage. This is a standout feature for both contenders.
The difference comes in charging speed. The POCO M6 Pro 5G supports 18W charging. The Samsung Galaxy M15 5G supports 25W fast charging. This means the Samsung will recharge significantly faster, a handy advantage when you're in a hurry.
Camera: Daily Driver Capabilities
Camera performance in this segment is often similar, with phones doing well in daylight and struggling in low light.
Both phones feature a 50MP primary camera. The quality from both sensors will be largely comparable in good lighting conditions, producing perfectly shareable social media photos.
The outcome often comes down to software processing. Samsung's image tuning tends to produce more vibrant and contrast-rich photos straight out of the camera, while POCO's processing can be more variable.
Final Conclusion: Which One Should You Buy?
Choose the POCO M6 Pro 5G if:
Your top priority is the absolute smoothest scrolling and UI experience (120Hz).
You prefer a more gaming-oriented brand identity.
Choose the Samsung Galaxy M15 5G if:
You want a truly superior display for watching videos (Super AMOLED).
You value long-term software updates and security (4 OS upgrades).
You need faster battery charging (25W vs. 18W).
