PNG Connection: Government employees residing in Noida and Greater Noida have a reason to rejoice as they can now easily secure PNG connections for their families. A generous discount is available for new PNG connections in government and defense colonies in Gautam Buddha Nagar. IGL has introduced a 100 percent waiver on the Rs 6,000 deposit required for a PNG gas connection.
As per a reports, IGL has extended this offer to central and state government departments, offices, and colonies of paramilitary forces, including employee quarters. This deposit discount offer will remain valid until September 17th. To kickstart the process, departments are requested to provide details about flats needing PNG connections. The District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Maidha Rupam, has urged departments and organizations to identify quarters in need of PNG connections and furnish comprehensive information about all flats.
The district administration plans to implement this scheme in colonies where PNG infrastructure expansion is essential. It is important to highlight that LPG gas connections have been prohibited since March. To lessen reliance on LPG, the government is prioritizing the expansion of PNG. Information about PNG expansion is being gathered from various states.
Gautam Buddha Nagar District Magistrate Medha Rupam has asked departments and organizations to identify colonies and staff quarters where PNG infrastructure needs to be developed or expanded. They have also been asked to provide details of all flats, including the number of residential units, the name of the colony, and the complete address. Moolchand Gupta, senior engineer and in-charge of PNG projects and acquisitions at IGL, said, “100% waiver will be given on the meter security deposit of Rs 6,000 for every PNG connection for a period of three months i.e. till September 17, 2026.”
