Pink Saheli Smart Card: The Pink Saheli Smart Card, initially introduced for women in Delhi to provide free bus travel, has now expanded its functionality to also serve as a debit card. This versatile card, which is fully compliant with Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations, enables women to not only commute on buses and the metro but also make purchases at malls and stores.
There are two variations of the Pink Saheli Smart Card available
The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) is currently distributing two types of National Common Mobility Cards (NCMC). The first type of card can be obtained with Zero KYC, requiring only an Aadhaar card and a one-time password (OTP) sent to the linked mobile number. The second type of card involves completing a full KYC process with a bank, after which the card is dispatched to the applicant’s address, resembling a debit card.

To acquire a Pink Saheli Smart Card functioning as a debit card, applicants must apply through the authorized bank’s website, providing an Aadhaar card with a Delhi address, a passport-sized photo, and personal information. Additionally, the bank may request a PAN card if necessary, followed by a video KYC process. Once all details are verified, the card will be produced and dispatched to the applicant’s address.
Usage instructions for bus, metro, and shopping
– Women can access free bus rides on all DTC buses by displaying their Pink Smart Card with full KYC. To utilize the card for metro travel, Namo Bharat train rides, or shopping, it must first be recharged. Subsequently, the card can function as a debit card.
Starting from August 1st, it will be mandatory to present the card
As of August 1st, women in Delhi must possess a valid Pink Saheli Smart Card to benefit from complimentary bus travel. The DTC has initiated a specific drive for this purpose, encouraging women to procure the card promptly. As per the DTC directive, beginning August 1st, only women possessing a valid Pink Saheli Smart Card will be entitled to a Pink Ticket, which must be tapped upon boarding a bus to qualify for free travel under the program.
Blue cards will be distributed to regular passengers, while orange cards will be assigned to senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, and other concessionary passengers. However, the process for issuing orange cards has not commenced yet.
