Fond of films since childhood, but obsessed with direction!
Raveena started assisting her father in a film when she was just eight years old. Imagine, she was learning behind-the-scenes work at such a young age! Not only this, she also did an internship under famous ad director Prahlad Kakkar.
She considered Prahlad Kakkar as her boss! After tenth grade, she started learning things like ad film making, pre and post production to become a filmmaker. Her intention was firm - she has to do wonders by staying behind the camera!
And then that advice of the boss, which changed Raveena's world!
Even during her college days, Raveena was working with Prahlad Kakkar. During this time, she was offered a film with Salman Khan. But our Raveena was going to become a director, she refused straight away! But then her boss, Prahlad Kakkar, gave her such an advice that changed her entire life.
Raveena herself told in an interview, "My boss Prahlad Kakkar also used to say that how long will you stay behind the camera, you should come forward. I was rejecting offers one after the other. Then I was offered a film 'Pathar Ke Phool' with Salman Khan." And just with this film, Raveena made a strong entry in Hindi cinema as a lead actress.
One debut, and then never looked back!
After debuting in 1991 with 'Patthar Ke Phool', Raveena never looked back. She soon became one of the most successful actresses in Bollywood. Raveena, who is still active in Hindi cinema, has given many great and memorable films in her career like 'Mohra',
