NPS Vatsalya: NPS Vatsalya has reached a significant achievement with over 300,000 children enrolled in the program. This illustrates an increasing awareness among Indian parents regarding their children’s financial security. Ensuring children’s financial stability is now a top priority rather than just an alternative. Families are establishing a solid financial base for their children through consistent savings and effective financial planning, aiming to empower them financially and foster self-reliance in the future.

What is NPS Vatsalya?

NPS Vatsalya was launched by the government in the financial year 2024-25 budget to allow parents or guardians to save for the long-term pension of their minor children. Under this initiative, the child is the beneficiary, while the account is managed by the parent or legal guardian. An account can be initiated in the child’s name if they are under 18 years old. Although the parent or guardian is responsible for the account, the child is considered the beneficiary under the plan.
