MG Hector Storm Series Launched: For SUV buyers in India, simply owning a large vehicle is no longer enough; people want a car that stands out on the road and offers a premium feel inside. Keeping this trend in mind, MG Motor India has introduced the new Hector STORM Series.
The series features the BLACKSTORM and SNOWSTORM editions, boasting new dark design elements, premium interiors, and special features. Both models are powered by a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a CVT gearbox and have been crafted with distinctive looks, dark themes, and exclusive accessories. What makes the MG Hector BLACKSTORM and SNOWSTORM so special?
The STORM Series is immediately striking thanks to its design. To elevate the Hector’s standard appearance, MG has added a new ‘All-Black Storm Hex Grille’. Additionally, special garnishes on the front and rear bumpers give the SUV a more commanding and robust presence.

Both editions feature ‘Aura Storm Blade’ alloy wheels paired with red brake callipers—a combination that particularly enhances the BLACKSTORM edition’s dark theme. Furthermore, MG has applied a dark chrome finish to the logos, skid plates, tailgate, and body-side cladding.
Black Theme
Inside, the vehicle features a ‘Nimbus Black’ interior complemented by dark interior accents. The all-black leather upholstery lends a premium feel to the cabin.
To distinguish the BLACKSTORM and SNOWSTORM editions, the specific edition name is embossed on the front seat headrests. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather and features a gunmetal finish.
MG has also curated a special STORM Series package to accompany these models. It includes BLACKSTORM and SNOWSTORM badges, a red tailgate accent, fog lamp bezels with red accents, ORVM protectors, and side step boards.
14-inch Screen and Smart Features
In terms of features, the MG Hector Storm Series comes equipped with a 14-inch HD portrait infotainment screen. It is not just a large screen; it also has ‘i-SWIPE’ touch gesture control. This allows for seamless operation of functions like air conditioning, music, and navigation using two- and three-finger gestures.
The SUV also offers a digital Bluetooth key with a key-sharing function. Additionally, it includes a 17.78 cm embedded full-digital LCD instrument cluster and MG’s i-SMART connected technology. Features like remote AC control can prove very useful for daily use.
1.5-litre Turbo Petrol
For the MG Hector BLACKSTORM and SNOWSTORM, the company has opted for the 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine rather than altering the engine setup significantly. This engine generates 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque and is paired with a CVT gearbox.
