Metro Update: Big news for metro rail commuters. Six metro stations in Delhi will be shut down today, as per an advisory issued by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The entry and exit at these stations were closed at 6 am on Monday, October 12, and will remain closed until 4 pm. This closure is due to opposition parties planning a march to the Supreme Court to demand action against CEC Gyanesh Kumar for alleged ‘vote theft’. The DMRC announced the station closures through a social media post late last night, urging the public to cooperate.

Interchange facility will be available at all six stations

The affected metro stations where entry and exit will be closed are Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Janpath, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, and Barakhamba Road from 6 am to 4 pm today. However, interchange options are accessible at these stations. Further updates and guidelines will be provided after assessing the situation post 4 pm. Therefore, individuals are advised to verify the status of metro stations before heading out and cooperate with DMRC staff. To avoid inconvenience, consider using alternative modes of transportation today.

There will be diversions on 30 roads in Delhi today due to the India Block March, as stated in an advisory by the Delhi Traffic Police. The diversions in New Delhi and Central Delhi came into effect from 6 am today.
