LPG Cylinder Rates Today, May 18: In India, LPG prices are determined by state-owned oil companies. These fuel prices undergo revisions every month. Nearly every household in India has an LPG connection, which is primarily used for cooking. The recent surge in LPG prices has placed a severe burden on the common people. Just a few days ago, an upward revision was observed in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders; however, there has been no change whatsoever in the prices of domestic gas cylinders.

Amidst the tense geopolitical situation in West Asia, India has begun to face supply-related challenges regarding LPG. As of this morning—Monday—there has been no alteration in the prices of LPG cylinders. If you are planning to purchase either a domestic or a commercial cylinder, you may wish to check the city-wise rates beforehand.

A source of relief is that customers continue to receive a subsidy on the purchase of domestic LPG cylinders. Upon purchase of a cylinder, the subsidy amount is credited directly to the individual’s bank account. It is worth noting that the subsidy amount itself varies from month to month.
