New Delhi: Donald Trump is currently making headlines worldwide due to his tariff policies, which are even alienating his allies. Following the failure to reach a trade agreement, US President Donald Trump has announced increased tariffs on South Korea. The tariffs on South Korean imports to the US have been raised to 25 per cent.
This is expected to negatively impact South Korean exports and disappoint businesses. The tariffs will apply to automobiles, lumber, pharmaceuticals, and other goods imported from South Korea, and will also involve reciprocal tariffs.
The trade deal between the US and South Korea has not been implemented, and Trump has criticised the South Korean parliament over this. Donald Trump wrote on social media, “The South Korean parliament is not honouring its agreement with the United States.
