Ingredients for making seviyan:
- 2 liters of milk
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 200 grams of vermicelli
- One bowl of cashew nuts
- One bowl of almonds
- Raisins
- One bowl of sugar
- 5 cardamom
- A pinch of saffron
Method of making seviyan:
To make seviyan, first of all we will cook the milk on medium flame. Cook the milk till it reduces to half. Now add half a teaspoon of ghee in a pan and fry the vermicelli well. When the vermicelli is cooked well, take it out in a plate. Add finely chopped dry fruits and fry it well. Now mix the vermicelli, dry fruits and sugar well in the boiled milk and keep cooking on low flame for 10 to 15 minutes by stirring with the help of a spoon.
Keep in mind that the flame should be medium otherwise the vermicelli will burn at the bottom. Finally, add saffron and half a teaspoon of cardamom powder and mix it well.
