UPSC CSE 2026 Notification OUT: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for the Civil Services Examination 2026 today, February 4th. Candidates who were preparing for the exam and waiting for the official notification can now check and download it from the official portal. This year, a total of 933 vacancies have been announced.

Candidates applying for administrative positions can apply for the recruitment exam from February 4th to February 24th, 2026, until 6:00 PM.

Recruitment for 933 Posts
UPSC has released a notification for the recruitment of 933 posts for CSE 2026. Eligible and interested candidates can apply through the official website upsconline.nic.in from February 4th to February 26th, 2026.

The UPSC CSE is one of the toughest and most prestigious competitive examinations in India, conducted for more than 20 Group A and B services, including the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service, Indian Foreign Service, and Indian Revenue Service. The commission conducts this civil services examination every year, comprising three stages: Preliminary, Main, and Interview. The final merit list of candidates is prepared based on all three stages.

About the Fee

All candidates (except female/SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, who are exempt from paying the fee) must pay a fee of Rs. 100 to appear in the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2026. Candidates who were dreaming of becoming IAS, IPS, or IRS officers can now fill out the UPSC CSE 2026 application form and appear for the exam.

Educational Qualification and Age Limit
Indian Administrative Service: Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognised university in India are eligible for this examination. Indian Forest Service: Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in subjects such as Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, or Agriculture are eligible to apply.

Age Limit: Eligible candidates must be at least 21 years and no more than 32 years as of August 1, 2026. The date of birth should not be earlier than August 2, 1994, and not later than August 1, 2005. Additional age relaxation will be provided as per the UPSC Examination 2026 rules.
