Indian Railways canceled train: Planning a family trip by train this April? Before packing your bags, it’s crucial to check the latest update from Indian Railways. Several trains have been cancelled across different routes due to operational reasons. These cancellations could affect travel schedules for passengers journeying between key cities like Bilaspur, Raigarh, Tatanagar, Patna, Pune, Mumbai, and more. Here’s everything you need to know before finalizing your travel plans.
Long List of Cancelled Trains Between 6 April and 25 April
Indian Railways has cancelled a number of trains between 6 April and 25 April, affecting passengers on various routes. The Raigarh-Bilaspur MEMU 68737 and 68735 will remain cancelled from 11 to 24 April and 10 to 23 April respectively. Similarly, Bilaspur-Raigarh MEMU 68738 and 68736 will not operate during the same periods.
The Tatanagar-Bilaspur Express 18113 and Bilaspur-Tatanagar Express 18114 are cancelled from 10 to 24 April. Trains like 18109 Tatanagar-Itwari Express and 18110 Itwari-Tatanagar Express will also be non-operational during this span.
Passengers planning to travel between Santragachi and Jabalpur should take note—20828 Santragachi-Jabalpur Express and 20827 Jabalpur-Santragachi Express are cancelled on selective days in April. Similarly, the Darbhanga-Secunderabad Express 17008 and its return train 17007 will remain cancelled on various days throughout the month.
Major Long-Distance Express Trains Also Affected
Several long-distance express trains have been removed from service temporarily. The Santragachi-Pune Express 20822 and Pune-Santragachi Express 20821 will not run on select dates, along with the Bhubaneswar-Kurla Express 12880 and its return train 12879.
If you’re heading from Bilaspur to Patna or vice versa, the 22843 Bilaspur-Patna Express and 22844 Patna-Bilaspur Express are also on the cancelled list for 11 and 18 April, and 13 and 20 April respectively.
Trains like Howrah-Mumbai Express 12870 and Mumbai-Howrah Express 12869 will not operate on two dates in April. The LTT-Shalimar Express 12151 and Shalimar-LTT Express 12152 are also cancelled on various days this month.
Additional Cancellations Across Popular Routes
The Howrah-Sainagar Shirdi Express 22894 and its return 22893, the Hatia-LTT Express 12812 and LTT-Hatia Express 12811 are all affected. Even the Azad Hind Express 12129/12130 between Pune and Howrah is not operational on 11 and 24 April.
The popular Geetanjali Express 12859/12860 between Mumbai and Howrah is suspended on 11 and 24 April, and Duronto Express services 12222/12221 between Howrah and Pune will be unavailable on multiple dates.
Porbandar-Shalimar Express 12905 and Shalimar-Porbandar Express 12906 are also affected. Additionally, the Jnaneswari Express 12101/12102 will not run on several dates throughout the month, so passengers are advised to verify the schedule beforehand.
