CBSE Class 10th Second Board Exam 2026: If your child is currently studying in Class 10 under the CBSE Board, there is good news for you. A notification has been issued regarding the CBSE Class 10 Second Board Examination for the year 2026. This notification includes the complete schedule and guidelines for the submission of the ‘List of Candidates’ (LOC).

Under the Second Board Examination Policy, the Board will conduct a second board examination in May 2026. Through this examination, students can easily improve their scores in up to three subjects.

Additionally, CBSE has introduced a two-phase process for submitting the LOC and paying fees this time around. This new system is designed to make the entire procedure smoother and more efficient for both schools and students.

CBSE Board Requests List of Candidates

The ‘List of Candidates’ (LOC) is to be submitted by the schools themselves. This marks the first time that a second board examination is being organised for Class 10 students. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has structured the LOC submission schedule so that the Board has prior access to crucial information—specifically, the exact number of students appearing for the exam and the subjects they intend to take.

CBSE Class 10th Second Exam Schedule:

The submission of the List of Candidates follows a three-phase schedule. The first phase runs from March 18, 2026, to March 31, 2026; the second phase begins the day after the main examination results are declared and lasts for 5 days; and the third phase commences two days after the 7th day following the declaration of results.
