New Delhi: The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has officially released the examination results for Class 6 admissions, along with the cutoff marks and rankings for all students. Students can easily check their complete details—filtered by state, district, category, and gender—by visiting the official website, navodaya.gov.in.

Accessing the cutoff list should not pose any difficulties. The first phase of the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) for Class 6 admissions was conducted in December 2025, with lakhs of students participating.

Now that the results have been declared, the subsequent admission process—based on merit—has commenced. Students can conveniently access and review the JNVST Class 6 Cutoff Marks List for 2026 without facing any issues. The admission process is outlined in detail below for easy reference.

Understanding the Admission Process

Simply passing the entrance examination does not guarantee admission to a Navodaya Vidyalaya; a subsequent ranking and selection process follows the declaration of results. Students selected based on the cutoff criteria are required to visit the school in person to present all their essential original documents for verification. Until the document verification process is completed, the admission status remains provisional.

What Happens After the Results?

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti oversees several post-result procedures, including document verification, medical examinations, the completion of admission forms, and school allotment. In addition to the list of selected candidates, the Samiti also releases a waiting list. For admission-related formalities, parents are required to contact the Navodaya Vidyalaya located within their respective district.

Documents to Keep Ready at the Time of Admission

To secure admission to a Navodaya Vidyalaya, certain essential documents must be kept ready. These include a Birth Certificate, Aadhaar Card, Domicile Certificate (Proof of Residence), Caste Certificate, passport-sized photographs, and the marksheet and Transfer Certificate from the previous class.

Once a student is allotted a school based on the cutoff criteria, no tuition fees are charged from Class 6 through Class 7. Furthermore, students receive all educational amenities—including tuition, hostel accommodation, meals, textbooks, and uniforms—completely free of cost. Subsequently, a nominal fee is required for pursuing studies in the secondary (Grades 9–10) and senior secondary (Grades 11–12) classes.

You Can Still Check the Results

To do this, you must first visit the official website: navodaya.gov.in.

Next, click on the ‘JNVST Class 6 Admission Test 2025’ link.

Then, enter your registration number and date of birth.

Upon submitting these details, your result will appear on the screen.

Following this, you will need to complete the document verification and other formalities for the final admission process.
