Krishi Input Subsidy Scheme 2026: Good news for farmers. Recently, around 94.4 million farmers benefitted from the PM Kisan Yojana, receiving 2,000 rupees each in their bank accounts. In addition, the Bihar government has contributed by transferring 200 crore rupees to the bank accounts of 396,000 farmers in Bihar. This financial aid was provided under the Agricultural Input Subsidy Scheme to support farmers affected by natural calamities.
Compensation for crop loss
The compensation aims to assist farmers who suffered crop damage due to storms, unseasonal rains, and hailstorms during the Rabi crop season 2025-26 in Bihar. The relief funds were disbursed to help farmers impacted by the natural disasters that occurred in the third and fourth week of March. A total of 3.96 lakh farmers have been identified as eligible for compensation, and Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary initiated the transfer of Rs 200 crore to farmers’ accounts through DBT on June 22.
Overview of the Agricultural Input Subsidy Scheme
– The scheme offers financial aid to farmers facing crop loss due to natural disasters, covering both Rabi and Kharif crops.
– Eligible farmer families, including the husband, wife, and minor children, can receive assistance for up to 2 hectares of land after Aadhaar verification.
– Farmers can apply for assistance for damage to one crop at a time, such as wheat, rabi pulses, maize, vegetables, sugarcane, perennial crops, and medicinal plants.
Upcoming aid for remaining farmers
– Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary highlighted that crops in about 13 districts of Bihar were affected by storms and rains.
– Farmers who have not yet received funds will soon receive assistance, and the Chief Minister encouraged farmers to enroll in the Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme for added financial protection during natural disasters.

– Complete the online form with the necessary details.
