Kangana Ranaut & Sonakshi Sinha Controversy –  Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut is already in the spotlight for her ‘outspoken’ nature, and now, another social media post of hers has sparked a massive uproar. This time, without explicitly naming anyone, she stirred up a buzz in both political and film circles by questioning the dress sense and style of a certain ‘heroine’. On Monday, while refuting a fake post on her Instagram story, Kangana wrote something that netizens interpreted as a scathing dig at Sonakshi Sinha. Let us tell you the full story and the reality behind it.

What did Kangana write?
Kangana wrote in her story, “A lot of fake news about me is going viral on social media. This post is also fake. I haven’t body-shamed anyone, but yes, I have certainly felt that there is a heroine these days who has started dressing like a pickpocket—wearing half-pants and a cap worn backwards. She appears to be encouraging the ‘gutter-level’ behaviour of protesters. I have always believed that the clothes you wear in a relationship are a direct reflection of your emotions.”

Not only that, but she also offered advice to a ‘dear fellow actress’, writing, “If your partner is making you feel like a pickpocket, then I am sorry. You used to be quite elegant; what has happened to you now? You can improve your styling yourself, but if you need me, I am always here for you.”

Why did Sonakshi’s name come up?

Although Kangana did not mention anyone by name in the post, trolls and fans argue that the target was indeed Sonakshi Sinha. Why? Because recently, amidst student protests regarding the NEET paper leak issue, Sonakshi had openly supported them. When demands for Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation arose, Sonakshi posted a video in which she was seen dancing happily—dressed in a T-shirt, shorts, and a cap—and saluting ‘Gen-Z’. Users believe that Kangana’s remark about “half-pants and a cap worn backwards” is a direct dig at that very video.

Political angle and the ‘staunch Hindu’ statement

Earlier on Monday, Kangana posted another video stating that she aspires to be a “staunch Hindu and a Sanghi” rather than merely an “aware Hindu.” In the video, she mentioned having several actress friends in the industry who previously remained silent on religion and politics but became “radicalised” after entering into Muslim marriages or associations. There is speculation on social media that this comment alludes to the interfaith marriage of Sonakshi and Zaheer Iqbal.
