RRB Technician Recruitment 2025  : Recruitment Board (RRB) has started the online application process for various posts of Technician Grade-1 (Signal) and Technician Grade-3. Candidates who are eligible for these posts can apply by visiting the official portal rrbapply.gov.in. This recruitment drive is being run to fill a total of 6238 vacancies.

Last date of application and important dates

The last date for filling the online application has been fixed as 28 July 2025. The last date to pay the fee is 30 July. After this, if any candidate has to make corrections in his application, then he can make corrections between 1 August to 10 August 2025.

What is the total vacancy and salary

This time the vacancy has been released by the Railways for a total of 6238 posts. These posts are divided into two categories:

Technician Grade-I (Signal): The pay level for this post is 5 and the starting salary is ₹29,200. There are total 183 posts.

Technician Grade-III: This post comes in pay level 2 and the starting salary will be ₹19,900. There are 6055 vacancies in this category.

Age limit and age calculation

For the post of Technician Grade-I Signal, the age of the candidate should be minimum 18 years and maximum 33 years as on 1 July 2025. At the same time, the maximum age limit for Grade-III posts has been kept at 30 years. Reserved categories will be given relaxation in maximum age as per rules.

Information related to application fee

The application fee for general and other category candidates is ₹500. If the candidate appears in the examination, ₹400 will be refunded after deducting bank charges.

The fee for SC, ST, Women, Transgender, EBC, PwBD and Ex-Serviceman candidates is ₹250, which will be refunded in full (excluding bank charges) upon giving the exam.

Exam format and selection process

Computer based test (CBT) will be taken under this recruitment. CBT will be conducted separately for both the posts. The exam will be of 90 minutes and a total of 100 questions will be asked in it. 1/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

To pass this exam, candidates must obtain the following minimum marks:

  • General and EWS category – 40%
  • OBC-NCL – 30%
  • SC – 30%
  • ST – 25%

What will happen next in the selection?

Candidates who will be successful in CBT will be called for document verification. The final selection will be done on the basis of merit. Performance in CBT will play the most important role.
