NCC Special Entry Scheme: Indian Army has started the application process for NCC Special Entry Scheme 58th Course. This recruitment is being organized for male and female candidates under Short Service Commission. Apart from this, this scheme is also open to the children of soldiers martyred in the war. Educational Qualification
Under this special entry scheme, the selected candidates will be appointed to the post of Lieutenant after 49 weeks of training. The candidate must have at least a graduation mark sheet. At the same time, the degree should have at least 50% marks. It is mandatory for the candidate to have a minimum B grade in NCC C certificate. As of July 1, 2025, the age of the candidate should be between 19 to 25 years.
Selection Process
The candidate will have to apply online first. After this, the army will shortlist the forms which will be based on the graduation marks. SSB interview will be conducted after which the selected candidates will have to undergo medical test. After this, the merit list will be released by the Indian Army. Merit list will be released for the candidates who have been selected.
Training will be done in Chennai
The selected candidates will be trained at the Officer Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai. The duration of which will be 49 weeks. Which will start from October 2025. Selected candidates will be given a stipend of Rs 56,100 every month during training. After this, their salary will be around 17-18 lakhs annually as per the rules. Talking about the rank, these selected candidates will be given the rank of Lieutenant. Which they will get after training.
Service period
The maximum service period for the selected candidate will be 14 years, in which they will have to complete a minimum period of 10 years. If someone wants to leave on their own, they can select the option of leaving after the 5th year, after the 10th year or after the 14th year.
