Defence Job ( Territorial Army Rally 2025): The Territorial Army has brought a great opportunity for young people who dream of serving the country. A notification has been issued for recruitment to a total of 1,529 posts in the year 2025. This time,recruitment will be done through an offline rally process. The notification was published in the employment newspaper dated November 1-7,2025.
Both male and female candidates can apply for these posts. Recruitment will be conducted in various infantry battalions across the country,including units in the North-Eastern and mountainous regions.

Where are the positions open?
Under this recruitment drive,various positions have been announced across various battalions:
- 107 Infantry Battalion (11 Gorkha Rifles) – 102 posts
- 113 Infantry Battalion (Rajput) – 129 posts
- 119 Infantry Battalion (Assam) – 94 posts
- 121 Infantry Battalion (Garhwal Rifles) – 134 posts
- 164 Infantry Battalion (Home and Hearth Naga) – 437 posts
- 165 Infantry Battalion (Home and Hearth Assam) – 360 posts
- 166 Infantry Battalion (Home and Hearth Assam) – 273 posts
A total of 1,529 vacancies are available for both men and women.
Educational Qualification and Age Limit
- 8th-grade pass candidates: Minimum 33% marks in each subject required.
- 10th-grade pass candidates: 45% marks in aggregate and 33% marks in each subject required.
- 12th pass candidates: 60% aggregate marks,plus at least 50% marks in English and Mathematics/Accounts/Bookkeeping are mandatory.
- Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 45 years.
Physical Standards
For male candidates:
Minimum height: 160 cm
Height relaxation for candidates from the North-Eastern or Ladakh region: 157 cm
Chest: 77 cm without expansion,82 cm with expansion
For female candidates:
Minimum height: 157 cm
Relaxation for candidates from North-Eastern states or the Gorkha community: 152 cm
A chest difference of at least 5 cm is mandatory.

Candidates must bring the following documents to participate in the rally:
- Birth Certificate or 10th Marksheet
- Educational Certificate and Marksheet
- Residence Certificate (issued by the Tehsildar/DM)
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Character Certificate (not older than 6 months)
- Marriage or Unmarried Certificate
- Religion Certificate (if applicable)
Kinship Certificate (if any family member is serving in the Defence Forces)
Selection Process
Candidates for the Territorial Army Recruitment will be selected in four stages:
- Document Verification
- Physical Fitness Test – Running,Push-ups,and other fitness tests
- Written Test
- Medical Examination
The final merit list of qualified candidates will be released in the final stage.
