BPSC Special School Teacher Recruitment 2025 : Bihar Public Service Commission has formally declared recruitment of the Special Schools teachers under advertisement no. 42/2025. A total of 7279 posts are available under different categories, out of which there are 5534 teachers for classes 1 to 5 and 1745 for classes 6 to 8. Application for the posts shall begin from 2nd July 2025 and will close on 28th July 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official BPSC website bpsc.bihar.gov.in.
For classes 1 to 5, the candidate shall be required to score a minimum of 50% marks in 12th standard and should have a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.ED) in Special Education or B.ED in Special Education from any Recognised Institution by the Rehabilitation Council of India. In addition, candidates must have undergone training for six months from any Teacher Training Institute and must hold valid registration with the RCI.
For classes 6 to 8, minimum additional qualification requirements are graduation degree in Special Education with a minimum of 50% marks, six months of additional training in inclusive education from an RCI-approved institution, and RCI registration.
The age of 18 years is to be completed as on the 1st day of August 2025 for appointment to be made as mentioned above. Candidates who belong to the unreserved category will be qualified from the ages of 37 years for males, while it ranges from 40 to 42 years for females, with SC, ST, and 0BC being reserved categories.
Candidates in the general category must pay an application fee of ₹750. Candidates SC, ST, PwBD, and female candidates should pay ₹200. The selection shall consist of a written examination followed by verification of documents and a medical examination. The written examination will comprise 150 MCQs (multiple-choice questions) based on the BSSTET exam pattern without negative marking to be completed in the allotted time duration of 2 hours and 30 mins.
The selected candidates will be employed at a fixed pay of ₹25,000 per month for teachers in classes 1 to 5 and ₹28,000 for teachers for classes 6 to 8.
