Jeevan Pramaan 2026: If there is a pensioner in your household, you should be aware of this important rule regarding the life certificate. As soon as October begins, the Life Certificate becomes a topic of discussion because pensioners are required to submit it promptly. However, there is no need to worry. The government has introduced a system for submitting digital life certificates based on age, with specific timeframes allocated for different age groups.

Pensioners aged 80 years or older can submit their digital life certificates starting October 1st. Meanwhile, pensioners under the age of 80 do not need to worry yet; the submission window for them opens at a later date. All eligible pensioners have been given until November 30th to submit their life certificates. The government has not changed this timeframe and has made no announcements about future adjustments.

When should those over 80 start?
For your information, the process of submitting the life certificate involves different stages based on age. Pensioners aged 80 or older can submit their digital life certificates starting October 1st. This simply means that if a pensioner is under 80, they do not need to rush to the bank immediately after October 1st begins; they can submit their digital Life Certificate on the date designated by the government.
