iQOO Neo 12 vs OnePlus Ace 7: Both of these phones are tuned for gamers who chase the quickest chip and also want that cooling fan, you know… and yeah, they’re both China-first launches from late October 2026. So it’s basically a side-by-side, sort of peek at two pretty decent gaming phones that most Indian buyers can’t just walk into a shop and grab. Anyway, here’s how they stack up, “on paper”.
iQOO Neo 12 vs OnePlus Ace 7: Price and availability

The iQOO Neo 12 was announced in China on October 28, 2026, and its starting price is 4,399 yuan. That lands around ₹52,000 with current exchange rates; I mean, like… roughly. OnePlus still hasn’t said the price for the Ace 7, it’s scheduled to start selling in China on October 29. Neither one has an official India launch date, so any rupee number you see going around is usually just a guess, or a random estimate.
Chip and performance
Both run a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 series chip. On the iQOO Neo 12 you get the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM. The OnePlus Ace 7 uses a “V Series” adjusted version, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series. Both also bring a built-in cooling fan for games that run hot. The iQOO leans on its Q3 gaming chip for ray tracing and frame interpolation, while the Ace 7 uses a 520Hz multi finger touch rate plus an 800Hz gyroscope in game mode, vs 500Hz on the iQOO.

Display
Honestly, this is where the gap shows up the most, like pretty fast. The iQOO Neo 12 has a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel, 3200 x 1440 resolution, 514 PPI, and peak brightness up to 2,200 nits. The OnePlus Ace 7 has a 6.78-inch LTPO screen with 2772 x 1272, sounds nicer for refresh-rate control, but it’s a bit behind on pixel density. Both top out at 185Hz. If you care about tiny details and crisp text, the iQOO display makes more sense. If you care more about power saving while keeping a high refresh panel, OnePlus feels like the better match.
Camera
On paper the OnePlus Ace 7 looks a little more stacked. It has a 200MP main camera. The iQOO Neo 12 instead comes with a 50MP main camera, an 8MP secondary sensor, and a 16MP selfie shooter. If you mostly game and take photos only occasionally, camera spec sheets probably won’t be the deciding factor, but still… Ace 7 reads like the stronger photo option overall, at least hardware-wise.
Battery and charging

Both support 100W charging, and both show up in the 9,000mAh neighbourhood. The Neo 12 is listed at 8,820mAh with a 32.90Wh rating, while the Ace 7 is listed at 8,775mAh. You might also see earlier rumors saying the Ace 7 could be 9,000mAh, so the numbers can wobble depending on the source. OnePlus claims up to 24 hours of video playback at 120Hz, iQOO hasn’t shared review-tested battery figures yet.
Build and durability
This is where the Ace 7 kinda pulls ahead, at least on paper. It uses an aluminium frame, Oppo Crystal Shield glass, and it carries IP66 IP68 IP69 and IP69K ratings. That’s a wider water and dust protection story than the iQOO’s IP68 and IP69 combo. Weight-wise, the iQOO is a touch heavier around 225g to 229g, while the OnePlus is about 217g to 223g.

Verdict
Go for the iQOO Neo 12 if you want the sharper display, the more straightforward gaming controls, and also the chance at bigger 1TB storage. Pick the OnePlus Ace 7 if your priority is better water resistance, a lighter feel, and the more impressive camera hardware on paper. For most players it’ll probably come down to one thing… do you value screen crispness more, or camera features more. And since neither phone is officially confirmed for India, don’t just buy blindly—double-check the official launch details first, ok.
