iQOO 16 India Launch Date: Smartphone manufacturer iQOO recently launched its new flagship smartphone, the iQOO 16, featuring impressive specifications. It comes equipped with a 6.85-inch Samsung M16 OLED display, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, and a massive 8,400 mAh battery.

Reports suggest that the phone will soon launch in global markets, including India, although iQOO has not yet officially confirmed its arrival. The Chinese variant of the iQOO 16 features Qualcomm’s latest chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Now, the popular benchmarking website Geekbench has spotted the global variant of the iQOO 16.

Tipster Abhishek Yadav spotted the iQOO 16 on the benchmarking website. The phone is listed as ‘vivo I2607’, which, according to the tipster, is the global variant of the iQOO 16.

According to the Geekbench listing, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset (SM8975), featuring 2 x 5.01 GHz cores, 3 x 4.03 GHz cores, and 3 x 3.74 GHz cores. The listing also reveals the presence of an Adreno 850 GPU for graphics.

The device tested came with 12GB of RAM and runs on Android 17. The global variant of the iQOO 16 scored 2,944 points in single-core and 10,029 points in multi-core tests on Geekbench V7.

iQOO 16 Price

As previously mentioned, iQOO has not yet shared any details regarding the global launch. iQOO launched the iQOO 16 in China in four variants: 12+256GB, 12+512GB, 16+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. These phones were priced between CNY 5,999 (approximately ₹86,000) and CNY 8,499 (approximately ₹121,000).

The iQOO 16 smartphone has been launched in the Chinese market, featuring a 6.85-inch Samsung M16 OLED display. The screen offers a resolution of 3168×1440 pixels and a 165 Hz LTPO refresh rate. The display includes 3,300 Hz PWM dimming and a pixel density of 508 ppi; these features ensure excellent responsiveness during gaming.

In terms of performance, the iQOO 16 is faster than its predecessor, as it is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor. The phone comes with LPDDR5X Ultra Pro RAM, offering speeds of up to 10.7 Gbps, and it uses UFS 4.1 technology for storage. On the software front, the device runs on OriginOS 7, based on Android 17.

The iQOO 16 features an 8,400 mAh battery for battery backup. Along with this upgraded battery capacity, the phone supports 100W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging. For photography, the iQOO 16 features a triple rear camera setup, headlined by a 50MP OmniVision OV50Q main camera equipped with OIS and LOFIC technology.

It is accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera from Sony; the periscope camera also supports OIS. For selfies, the phone houses a 32MP GalaxyCore GC32E1 front camera. The rear camera system supports 8K video recording and up to 100x digital zoom.

Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an IR blaster, and USB 3.2 Gen 1. The smartphone also boasts IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, ensuring protection against the elements.

The iQOO 16 measures 163.75 mm in height and 76.90 mm in width. The ‘Track’ model has a thickness of 8.30 mm and weighs 222.5 grams.
