New information surfacing on Weibo indicates that the iPhone 18 Pro Max will feature a larger battery, with sizes potentially varying by region. It is claimed that the European/global version—which retains a physical nano-SIM slot—could house a 5,235 mAh battery, an increase of approximately 412 mAh (about 8.5%) over the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Meanwhile, the US version, expected to be exclusively eSIM-based, could feature a 5,425 mAh battery.
Tipster ‘Digital Chat Station’ had previously predicted that the Pro Max would surpass the 5,000 mAh mark. The fact that physical SIM trays still occupy space in certain regions explains why battery sizes differ across markets.
