Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift: Toyota is preparing to introduce a new variant of its MPV, the Innova Hycross. This time, the company may implement significant changes to both the vehicle’s design and its cabin. These updates are likely to include a larger touchscreen, a new digital instrument cluster, and an enhanced connected car system. It is anticipated that these features will also be included in the model arriving in India. Reports suggest that the new Innova Hycross could launch in November.

Larger 12.3-inch Touchscreen

The current Toyota Innova Hycross features a 10.1-inch floating touchscreen, which supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. However, the facelift model is expected to come with an even larger screen.

Images that have surfaced in Indonesia show a new screen that appears wider than the current unit. It is expected that Toyota may incorporate a 12.3-inch touchscreen system, similar to the one found in the new Hilux. This is also expected to include support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. However, the exact screen size for the model destined for India has not yet been confirmed.

12.3-inch Digital Display for the Strong Hybrid Variant

Another major update for the new Innova Hycross could be its instrument cluster. Reports suggest that the strong hybrid variant may feature a 12.3-inch digital driver display. This will provide the driver with information such as vehicle speed, driving details, and the operational status of the hybrid system.

Meanwhile, the standard petrol variant is expected to come with an analogue instrument cluster paired with a 7-inch multi-information display (MID). The digital display will be particularly beneficial for the hybrid variant, as it will make it easier to view information related to both the petrol engine and the electric motor.

New T-inTouch Connected Car System

A third significant change is expected in the vehicle’s connected car technology. The current Innova Hycross features the Toyota i-Connect system, while the facelift model is expected to come with the new-generation T-inTouch connected car system. Additionally, features such as E-care and Proactive Agent Call are also anticipated.

According to reports, the T-inTouch system may be offered with a three-year subscription. However, the specific features and subscription terms for the Indian market may vary. It has not yet been confirmed whether the vehicle will support control via a smartwatch. Furthermore, the facelift is expected to include features like a 360-degree camera, a cabin air purifier, automatic climate control, and a wireless charger.

 Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift Design

Regarding its design, the exterior of the facelift model may undergo some changes. Based on vehicles spotted during testing, it is believed that the most significant updates will be concentrated at the front. The grille of the new Innova Hycross could receive a fresh design, and there may also be revisions to the front bumper and LED headlamps.

The front profile might bear a resemblance to the design of the new Toyota Hilux. Additionally, there is a possibility of updates to the alloy wheel design and the tail lamps.

Engine and Hybrid System

The Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift is expected to retain its existing two engine options. The first is a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 173 PS of power and 204 Nm of torque.

The second option is a 2.0-litre strong-hybrid powertrain, which delivers 184 PS of power. This system combines a petrol engine with an electric motor and a hybrid battery pack. It is a self-charging hybrid system that does not require external charging and is paired with an e-CVT automatic transmission. Launch Date

According to reports, the new Toyota Innova Hycross could be launched in November. Details regarding its new features have emerged following the commencement of sales for the updated model in Indonesia. However, the launch date, variants, and pricing for the Indian market have not yet been confirmed.
