Uttarakhand Cloudburst :- Heavy rains are being experienced in most states of the country at this time. In some states, a flood-like situation has arisen due to heavy rains. At the same time, news of a cloudburst is coming in Baligarh in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. This has caused heavy damage to an under-construction hotel site. According to the information coming out, 8-9 workers have gone missing due to a cloudburst, and rescue operations are currently underway.

According to news agency ANI, Uttarkashi District Magistrate Prashant Arya states that a cloudburst occurred in Baligarh on the Barkot-Yamunotri road of the district, causing significant damage to the under-construction hotel site. 8-9 workers living on the site have gone missing in this accident.

He has informed that the police, SDRF, and NDRF teams have reached the spot. Rescue and search operations are underway. Videos of this cloudburst incident have also surfaced on social media now. The devastation is evident in the video.

Chardham Yatra suspended 

Given the continuous heavy rains and landslides in Uttarakhand, the Chardham Yatra has been postponed for a day on Sunday. The decision on further travel will be made by the government on Monday, taking into account the current weather conditions. Due to the rains continuing for the last few days, many roads have been blocked by landslides.

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert regarding heavy to very heavy rains in 7 districts including Nainital-Dehradun. In view of the warning of heavy rains in seven district,s including Dehradun, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has appealed to the people to remain alert.
