UP Monsoon Update: The weather has undergone a significant change in Uttar Pradesh. With the onset of the monsoon in the state, a series of heavy rains is also being observed. On Monday, heavy rains were reported in some parts of the state, while light rains were observed in others. The people of UP have got a lot of relief due to the rain. Rain has been recorded in most districts of western and eastern Uttar Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, rain and thunderstorms are expected at some places in the western and eastern parts of UP on June 17.

Rain has also been feared in Lucknow and the Noida-Ghaziabad region. According to the Meteorological Department, similar weather conditions are expected to prevail on Tuesday, June 17. An alert has been issued due to heavy rains at many places from Wednesday.

 Thunderstorm and rain alert in 40 districts

In UP, a yellow alert has been issued due to thunderstorms and rain in 40 districts of the state, including Lucknow, Kanpur, and Gorakhpur, on Tuesday. Moisture is continuously coming from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. Due to this, thunderstorm and rain activities are continuing. The monsoon is expected to enter UP soon. The Meteorological Department has predicted the monsoon to be active in Lucknow by June 23.

A cyclonic situation persists with the western disturbance, which is getting strength from the easterly wind. Therefore, the Meteorological Department says that the series of rain and drizzle is going to continue amid the movement of clouds. Additionally, it is expected to rain at many places on June 18, 19, and 20.

Rain warning in these districts

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of thunderstorms in Prayagraj, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar and their surrounding areas on Tuesday. Additionally, there is a possibility of rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Jaunpur, and Ghazipur.
