Rain warning in these parts
According to the Meteorological Department, an alert for heavy rain and thunderstorms has been issued in many districts on June 177, i.e., today. In these areas, a warning of heavy rain has been issued in Varanasi, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, and Sonbhadra. Additionally, an alert has been issued for heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in Chandauli, Ghazipur, and Azamgarh.
Apart from these, a rain warning has been issued in Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Maharajganj and Sant Kabir Nagar. Heavy rain is expected to continue in Siddharthnagar, Balrampur, Jaunpur, and Pratapgarh. An alert has also been issued for heavy rain in Koshambi, Chitrakoot, Banda and Shravasti. Mahoba, Kanpur, Jalaun, Jhansi, and Lalitpur may also experience rain accompanied by thunder and lightning. Gusty winds are also expected in these areas.

According to the IMD, the southwest monsoon is likely to affect Chhattisgarh and Odisha. On the other hand, there is also movement in the Bay of Bengal. There is a possibility of rain in many places in Uttar Pradesh as well. According to the Meteorological Department, UP may see a maximum drop of 3 to 6 degrees Celsius in the next three days. The minimum temperature is expected to decline by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius.
