Severe Rainfall Alert: The monsoon has entered almost all states of the country. Since the arrival of the monsoon, it has been raining in most states. Heavy rain is falling in some states, while light rain is falling in other areas. Due to rain, a drop in temperature has also been recorded. After the rain in Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, West Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, people have got a lot of relief from the heat.

Recently, people in Delhi-NCR were in a very bad condition due to the scorching heat. However, due to the rain, the weather has become quite cool now. On the other hand, due to continuous rain in Himachal Pradesh and Assam, flood-like conditions have been created. IMD has issued an alert regarding heavy rain, thunderstorms and storms in most states of the country.

The Meteorological Department estimates that the monsoon will remain active for the next 6 to 7 days in many areas of North-West, Central, and East India.

Heavy rain warning in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall is very likely at isolated places over Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Gujarat Region, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Uttarakhand and West Uttar Pradesh. Heavy Rainfall is very likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Costal Karnataka, East Rajasthan, East Uttar Pradesh, Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Saurashtra & Kutch, Sub Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Telangana and Vidarbha.

Delhi NCR has been experiencing light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds, since Monday morning. This has led to a drop in temperature by several degrees Celsius and improved the air quality.

According to IMD report, Heavy to very heavy rainfall has been recorded at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Uttar Pradesh, Bihar; Heavy rain at isolated places over Gujarat Region, Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, East Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Andaman Islands, Gangetic West Bengal, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Mizoram.

The weather department has issued a ‘yellow alert’ for most parts of Delhi and NCR. According to IMD officials, light to moderate rain is expected in some parts of the region in the next 24 hours.
