Apart from these, moderate to heavy rains are expected at many places in Gaya, Araria and Kishanganj districts.

Alerts of rain with thunderstorms have been issued in several districts, including Kaimur, Nalanda, West Champaran, Saran, and Siwan. Yellow alerts have also been issued for these districts. Heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms are also expected in the capital, Patna. The weather became pleasant due to the rains in many parts on Thursday afternoon.

A day before, heavy rains in Patna led to flooding of roads at many places. Traffic remained disrupted here, with vehicles moving slowly. One person died as a result of a lightning strike in the city. Lightning struck during rain in Girwari Tola village of Bikram block, and a person named Sudama Prasad died. Two people, including a woman, were severely burned in this.

According to IMD, a heavy rain alert has been issued in Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh in South India. Apart from these, a heavy rain warning has also been issued in Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. Heavy rain may also occur in Manipur, Sikkim and Assam.
