Monsoon Update – Heavy to Very Heavy Rain Alert & Thunderstorms in 20 States over next 4 Days

Very Heavy Rain Alert: The India Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rains, thunderstorms and strong winds for the next 6 days in most states of the country. Delhi-NCR received heavy rainfall on 22 July. Due to the rain, the weather has cooled down, and the temperature has also dropped. However, people are still troubled by the humid heat. The Meteorological Department estimates that heavy rains may occur in many parts of the country over the next two to three days. There are also some states where flood-like conditions have been created due to continuous heavy rains.

According to the latest report of the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand from July 23 to 27. So let us know in which state, for how many days and when rain is expected. Let’s take a look at the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department:-

Heavy rain warning for the next 4 days

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rains for several states, including Kerala, Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, for the next 4 to 5 days. It has appealed to the people not to leave their homes without a valid reason. Alerts have been issued for many states, including Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Delhi, Andaman, Maharashtra, and Nagaland.

The Meteorological Department estimates that heavy rains may occur in various places in coastal Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, and Mahe, as well as Uttarakhand, in the coming days.

The Meteorological Department estimates that there may be heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh till July 27. Apart from this, heavy rains are expected to occur in Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Haryana from July 22 to 24. Apart from this, rain has been predicted in eastern Uttar Pradesh from July 25 to 27 and in Rajasthan from July 27.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected to occur in West Madhya Pradesh on 26 and 27 July, and in East Madhya Pradesh from 25 to 27 July. Apart from this, an alert has been issued regarding heavy rains in Vidarbha and Jharkhand on 24 and 25 July.

According to the IMD, light to moderate rains are expected at many places, accompanied by thunderstorms, in Northeast India over the next 6 to 7 days. Apart from this, heavy rains are expected at some places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya during 24 to 27 July.
