Late-night rain in most areas of Kerala and Karnataka has brought down the temperature level, providing relief to people from the heat. It is raining heavily in the financial capital of Mumbai, resulting in flood-like conditions.

Mumbai received 100 mm of rain, making walking on the roads difficult. Many areas of UP witnessed rain yesterday. The entry of the monsoon is still awaited here. Heavy rain is also occurring in the northeastern states. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in many parts of the country.

Heavy rain in Mumbai

Heavy rain in Mumbai on Monday disrupted everyday life. Thundering clouds, strong winds and torrential rain put the brakes on the running life on the roads. Many trees and poles broke down, causing traffic jams. Pedestrians are facing difficulties due to waterlogging on the streets.

Heavy rains in Gujarat, too

According to IMD, alerts have been issued in many places in South India. According to the Meteorological Department, a heavy rain alert has been issued in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikaheavylangana until June. A heavy warning has been issued in Akagana and Lakshadweep, and an additional warning has been issued in Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh. There is also a possibility of strong winds along with thunderstorms here.
