The cold has broken records from the mountains to the plains. In some parts of North India, light rain followed by strong winds late at night has further lowered the temperature. Walking on the roads has become difficult.
The combination of cold and fog has completely brought life to a standstill, causing considerable distress to people. The speed of vehicles has also been significantly reduced. Visibility is expected to decrease further. The next 50 hours are not going to be easy. Rain is also predicted in several states of the country.

Rajasthan Weather
A Western Disturbance has become active in various parts of Rajasthan, resulting in cloudy skies. Light rain is expected on January 2nd in several districts of Jaipur, Bikaner, and Bharatpur. However, the weather may remain clear in many other parts of the state. Rain will certainly cause a drop in temperature. Cloudy conditions are expected in Alwar, Dausa, and the surrounding areas.
Delhi Weather
Delhi-NCR is also grappling with a severe cold wave these days. The NCR is shrouded in a blanket of fog, and strong winds are continuing. According to the IMD, the minimum temperature on January 1st could be recorded at 6 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 22 degrees Celsius.

Weather in Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh is also experiencing a severe cold wave. Cloudy conditions and light rain are expected in several areas of Western UP. Drizzle in some areas on Thursday also caused a drop in temperature. The wind has further intensified the effect of the cold.
Rain Warning in These States
The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in several areas, including Tamil Nadu, over the next 50 hours. According to the IMD, heavy rain is possible in several districts of Tamil Nadu. Strong winds are also expected. Rain is possible in some areas of Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Puducherry. Meanwhile, light rain is expected in Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.
