Earthquake Panic in Eastern India: On Tuesday morning, the earth shook due to strong earthquakes in West Bengal and Odisha. The intensity of this earthquake, which came at around 6.10 am, was measured at 5.1. It is a matter of relief that there is no news of any damage or casualties. It is being told that thepicentreer of this earthquake was at a depth of about 9kilometresrs in the Bay of Bengal.

Earth shook in Himachal too.

Earlier, earthquake tremors were also felt in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. Thankfully, there was no damage to her,e either. According to the Meteorological Department, the intensity of this earthquake was 3.7, and its epicentre was at a depth of 7 kilometres near Kirgi in the Sundarnagar area. Mandi district comes in Zone 5 regarding earthquakes, which is considered very sensitive.

Earthquakes were also felt in Delhi-NCR.

Delhi-NCR also experienced an earthquake of 4.0 magnitude on February 17 at 5.36 am. The tremors of this earthquake were felt in Delhi and Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Faridabad, Moradabad, Saharanpur, Alwar, Mathura and Agra.

Delhi is in a dangerous zone.

People came out of their houses in panic due to the sudden tremor in the morning. However, the good thing is that there was no significant damage. Delhi falls in Zone IV regarding earthquakes, which is considered a high-risk zone. Experts believe that due to the activities of tectonic plates in the Himalayan region, there is a possibility of earthquakes in this region in the future as well.
